"I HAVE THE BEST JOB IN THE WORLD. AFTER MANY YEARS BUILDING MY REPUTATION AS A PROFESSIONAL DESIGNER…
I find it's important to show the serious side of design and inspire others to create engaging homes. But another important lesson learned is to enjoy the moment and find time to have a good laugh. It is my team of talented, hardworking people that manage to keep me—and each other—laughing."

BEDROOMS PART I
STORAGE:
Make sure there is enough space to store clothes, accessories, jewelry, shoes, etc.
FOCAL POINT:
Every room needs a focal point. It grabs your attention and grounds the space. The perfect focal point in a bedroom is the bed.
MIRRORS:
Are you space-challenged? Use mirrors as a low cost way to expand the space.
LIGHTING:
You can have a beautiful space, but without lighting it loses it’s sizzle. The key is to create layers of lighting, such as table lamps, overhead lighting, dimmers, etc.
TEXTURE:
Remember that at some point you shut off the lights and see nothing. So your room becomes all about touch and how it feels. Use soft, silky and satiny fabrics for your bedding.
PAISLEY:
Want a look that’s both traditional and exotic? Try paisley!
LAYERS:
Layers of fabrics in the bedroom give the space a generous dose of elegance.
